When Amy & Ryan first came to meet with me about being their wedding photographer, I was surprised that they recognized my dog, Maddie, as a Papillon! Not many people are familiar with the breed, but it turns out that Amy & Ryan have a Papillon too! I was so excited to hear this as I think it’s a spectacular breed.
After seeing photos of their peppy little pap and with much encouragement from Amy & Ryan, I was even inspired to give Maddie a shorter haircut, like Gypsy’s.
When it came time to do their engagement session, of course I suggested bringing Gypsy & her big brother, Harley (their other, much larger and equally adorable dog) along. Thankfully, Valley Forge National Park is very dog friendly and Gypsy and Harley were so well behaved and of course, paid generously for their time with doggie currency (TREATS!). Before we went over to Valley Forge though, they took me on a tour of their wedding venues, so I can be prepared for the wedding day. A great big hug and thank you to Amy’s mom for hanging out with us and helping out with her dog wrangling whispering skills.
