iphoneography

I have waited patiently, since that very first day that the original iPhone was announced, for it to come to Verizon.  My husband and I have been Verizon customers since 2000 and I certainly wasn’t going to give them up any time soon.  So I waited.  The day finally came, just about one year ago, when I was finally able to have my cake and eat it too.  an iPhone!  on Verizon!!  Woot!  Of course, I have cherished this small electronic device since the day it came into my life and I would venture to say that it has made me a better photographer.  I have taken photos nearly every day with it, observing the world around me and rediscovering places I thought I had long since exhausted of photographic opportunity.  Is every image perfect?  Of course not.  Some are blurred, some are fuzzy.  But they are moments of my life that I can’t get back, that are now forever documented because I had with me a tool to capture these snippets of daily life, when I wouldn’t have had a camera with me otherwise.  The best camera is the one that’s with you, they say.

On January 1st, 2012, I embarked on a journey to take a photo EVERY SINGLE DAY for a year with a 366 project.  Mostly these images are coming from my iPhone but about once a week or so, I pull out the “real camera.” ;)  After having proudly finished my first month of this project (which I will share soon!), I was looking back over the past year of my life, captured by my iPhone, and I decided it needed a proper chronicle.  Take a look at the book I made featuring my 2011 iPhone Art.
