Longwood Gardens Engagement | Denise & Ed

I met up with Denise & Ed at Longwood Gardens recently to shoot their Engagement Session.  Longwood is one of my favorite garden locations for portraits.  Such an exquisitely gorgeous place.  Denise seemed a bit camera shy when we first started but soon enough she was doing a fabulous job of ignoring me.  Don’t be quick to judge!  She was really ignoring the camera, not really ME and hey, I told her to.  :)   Mother Nature provided us with amazing weather, not too cool and not too hot, the temperature was just warm enough to be perfect.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  Check out a few of my favorites.

Denise & Ed – thanks for such a fun time!  I can’t wait for your wedding next month.  :)

In the Press | Delaware Bride Magazine

I’m proud to share with you that two of my photos were recently published in the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Delaware Bride magazine.  It’s exciting and an honor to be included in our small state’s only bridal magazine.  :)   The detailed depiction of the wedding rings is from my own mother’s wedding this past fall – Congrats Mom!  (Yep – just gave a shout out to my mom, don’t hate!)  The rings are nestled in her favorite bamboo plant, which resulted in one of my favorite ever ring shots.  The bride having her makeup applied is none other than Kirsten, who’s fabulous Winterthur Wedding was also last fall.

Brantwyn Mansion Wedding | Lisa & Philip

Lisa & Philip were married at the magnificent Brantwyn Mansion, one of the several fabulous DuPont locations in Wilmington.  The mansion provided an amazing backdrop for photo opportunities and with the help of expert Delaware wedding coordinator, Erin Proud, there were plenty of details to photograph in this gorgeous venue.  The threat of rain turned out not to be a worry after all and their elegant outdoor ceremony went on as scheduled in the gardens next to this Georgian mansion.  Enjoy the photo story of their day below.  :)

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="I just adore the amazing architecture of the mansion and wanted to make sure to take advantage of it. Worked out quite well for this dress shot, I think! :) "][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="Lisa's bouquet and wedding ring were among my top favorites of the year."][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="My passion for photojournalism stems directly from documenting (and witnessing) moments like these. Mom's face is just glowing with pride when she sees her daughter's full transformation into a bride."][/caption]

Paper by Proud provided the elegant and beautiful invitations, programs and signs.

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="548" caption="As exquisite as the gardens are on this elegant property (and of course we took many photos there!), I was drawn more to the architecture in the house."][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="Erin dutifully delivered Philip's surprise cake from Lisa with an enormous smile!"][/caption] [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="800" caption="There was something about this candid moment that had me crackin up when I was editing the photos. Huge thanks go to Erin and her crew for bringing success to another amazing wedding celebration and also to my wonderful second photographer, Tessie, for assisting me in the documentation of this day.    Many, many thanks go to Lisa & Philip for the honor of being their wedding photographer.

Heirloom Albums | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Debbie & Tom’s amazing Christmas wedding album came in this week and I am so excited to share this gorgeousness with you!

Sometimes I wonder if it’s overkill to provide so many fabric & leather options for my albums, because the majority of my clients end up going with a simple leather with an imprint.  But when Debbie and I met over lunch to discuss her album cover options, she dove head first into the swatches and had a field day.  She came up with a couture color combo that worked so fabulously for this album, thereby strengthening my decision to carry such a diverse array of cover options.  Take a look at this delicious album.  :)

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="This album is a Flush Mount 10" x 10" square album, with a two tone cover and inset photo."][/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="Digitally designed by moi, the pages spread right over the crease (no gaps!) and all the way to the edges of the thick pages."][/caption]
