Alicia & Clay: E-Session

Last weekend I had a blast shooting Alicia & Clay’s Engagement Session, out in Maryland. Alicia & Clay are both active members of the Cecilton Fire Dept. so we started there for some pictures of them, how they are in their everyday life. Then, after a clothing change, we headed down to the Marina and played around on the docks for a little bit. Here are some of my favs:

At the firehouse…

I just love the way she looks at him :)

Down at the Marina…

These guys are so cute together!

It was a wee bit chilly out that day, so a little snuggling was in order. :)

Couldn’t resist this shot….there’s just something about it….

Again, did I mention how cute they are? :)

I’m looking forward to your wedding next year, guys!! :)

The Wiles Family

On Saturday, I got together with my friends, Stephanie & Brandon and their delightful son, Maverick, to shoot some holiday pictures of their family. Some of you might recognize them from other photos on my website, from their wedding that I shot as well, and we’ve become friends ever since then! We had a blast out in Fair Hill, MD… there was still some fall color to play around with, thankfully. It was a wee bit chilly out but it wasn’t too bad – we just tried to work fast! I was excited that they brought their dogs, Shelley and D.O.G. (pronounced dee-OH-gee) – or Deoji- along for some pictures too! (Isn’t that a clever name?!) I LOVE when people include their four-legged family members in their sessions! :)

We got some really nice family shots that day, the kids
(all three of them!) were very well behaved. :) Mad props to my husband, Marc
for doing an amazing job at helping out with the dogs! (He was squeaking a
toy football behind my head to make the dogs look at me lol)

Maverick was having a BLAST in the leaves! Only to be a kid again…. :)

A nice portrait of Steph :)

Deoji was just a shiverin’ so Steph stuffed her in her
jacket, to keep her warm. Too cute!

Steph & Brandon were swinging Mav while they walked
through the covered bridge…I LOVE this shot!

Thanks for hanging out with me, guys! We had a blast and thanks for dinner too! :)

Logan’s Baptism 11.10.07

You might remember Logan from this post about his first birthday, back in the summer. Well his adorable presence has graced my camera lens again! This time, for a very special occasion….his baptism. The poor thing was feeling a bit under the weather, but he made it through :)

Here he is with his pop-pop – my uncle John – Logan is my 2nd cousin :) .
I LOVE this picture! My uncle has the most sincere smile on his face here. :)

Logan was very interested in all the things around him, more than
he was interested in the minister LOL.

Playing Peek-a-Boo with his God-mother, sitting behind him. :)

The Baptism

Looking very confused as to what just happened!

He wasn’t very interested in having his picture taken, until we jingled some
keys at him…which of course he HAD to have after that! LOL

…and then we stuck him in the tree outside the church….too cute! :)

…and of course, one with Mommy & Daddy. (His mommy, Michelle is my cousin) :)

Check out the slideshow here. Congratulations on your baptism, Logan!!

Majesta Valentine – Olympic Gymnast Hopeful

So if you haven’t noticed recently, I have some nifty little links in the column on the right side of my blog….one of those links is to the website of a young girl, named Majesta. Majesta is a young gymnast with hopes of a future in the Olympics. She’s quite a talented young lady! I had the pleasure of photographing some of her athletic abilities last weekend at her first competition (meet) of the year, the KMC Fall Frenzy. Check out her wicked moves below:

A wide angle of the gym at full speed in the middle of the meet:

Majesta on the Balance Beam. She received her highest
score (of the meet) on this event, at 9.40. :)

Yep, she sure did land on that beam after this move!

Majesta performing her Floor routine:

Ummm…..Yeah. She’s doing a full split in mid-air…pretty crazy.

2nd place All Round for her first time competing as a Level 8! Congrats, Majesta! :)

Majesta Valentine trains at KMC Gymnastics, in Kennett Square. Go check out Majesta’s Website and Majesta’s Blog to see some cool videos (and pictures!) of her competing from this and other events! Leave her some love on her blog and join me in wishing her the best as she continues her journey to the Olympics. :)

Also, if you’re in the giving mood (as the holidays ARE right around the corner!) than feel free to donate to Majesta’s training fund, as I have, through the link on her website. Competitive Gymnastics training is very VERY expensive, so her family would be ever so grateful for your generosity! :)
